CRESTLINE, Calif., July 24 (Inland Empire News Online) — A black bear pushed open the front door of the Crestline Village Water District office in the San Bernardino Mountains on Wednesday afternoon, wandered through the lobby and left without injuring anyone or damaging the building, according to surveillance video and staff statements.

The district’s video showed the bear standing on its hind legs to open the door at about 12:15 p.m., then moving through the front area for about two minutes before briefly entering the main office, staff said.

Employees said no customers were in the office at the time and that no one was in danger. Staff also reported only nose prints on the doors and no property damage.

The bear then walked back out of the building and headed toward the woods, according to the district’s video and employee accounts.
