SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 27 (San Francisco News Online) — NVIDIA on June 22 introduced Halos for Robotics in San Francisco, saying the new system is designed to connect AI computing, safety software, sensor data, safety applications and inspection in one architecture for robots and physical AI.

The company said the platform brings together NVIDIA IGX Thor for AI compute, Holoscan Sensor Bridge for sensor connectivity, NVIDIA Halos OS for software safety functions and the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab for inspection and certification preparation.

NVIDIA said the inspection lab is tied to ANAB accreditation and is meant to help partners prepare for third-party certification with organizations including TÜV Rheinland, UL Solutions, TÜV SÜD, exida, SGS and CertX. The company said the robotics safety architecture builds on work it developed in autonomous vehicle safety.
