DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has introduced the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, calling it the “most powerful Silverado ever” and saying the pickup will reach showrooms later this year with new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines.

The company said the truck will keep four powertrain choices: the two new V8s, an enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel. Chevrolet also said the 2027 Silverado 1500 now offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class.

Inside, Chevrolet said every 2027 Silverado 1500 will come with a digital cockpit that includes a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center. ZR2 and High Country trims add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a head-up display and rear camera mirror.

Chevrolet said the lineup will include seven models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. The company said pricing will be announced later this year, and it did not provide horsepower, torque or fuel-economy figures in the release.
