WASHINGTON, July 12 (DC Times Online) — James Carville warned in a Friday Politicon video that far-left Democratic primary wins could push the party toward another 2016-style defeat, arguing that insurgent candidates are hurting Democrats’ broader electoral chances.

The Democratic strategist singled out recent wins by candidates including Brad Lander, Darializa Avila Chevalier and Melat Kiros, and he criticized Michigan candidate Abdul El-Sayed as part of a group he said was running against both parties.

“These people are so f—ing stupid I don’t know what to say about it,” Carville said. “You are part of the problem because you’re a f—ing idiot!”

Carville said Democrats should not “fall for the allure of false prophets” and argued, “It’s not both parties’ faults!” He framed the dispute as a fight over whether Democrats should keep leaning left or focus on winning general elections.
